What file format should I use when submitting my electronic document for printing?

PDF (Portable Document Format) is the most common and preferred file format for submitting digital documents.

Text alignment will remain intact as compared to sending word or powerpoint document.

What is a proof?

A proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type accurately and that everything is positioned according to your requirements.

Typically, we will produce a proof which will be sent to you via email system.

Why do the printed colours look different from my screen?

Scanners, digital cameras and computer monitors use red, green and blue (RGB) light to display colour.

Presses print with cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK) ink instead of RGB light, and therefore produce a different range of color.

Hence, the artwork should be converted to CMYK. Alternatively, if you are particular about using an exact color or Pantone, then you will need to bring a sample of that colour or give us the pantone number and we will do our best to match it.

At what resolution should I save graphics?

The resolution for printed graphics needs to be much higher than the resolution for onscreen viewing.
Resolution should be set to 300 dpi or higher.
Pictures and graphics pulled from the internet are often low resolution, typically 72 dpi or 96 dpi.
Avoid these graphics, as they will appear pixilated when printed.
